Reason 1: The goal itself is unreasonable
Goals are set too high, resources are not enough, and time is too tight-these are "source problems", and the root causes are often buried during the goal setting stage.
Reason 2: The execution path is unclear
The goal is set, but the team does not know "exactly how to do it." For example, the goal of "improving user retention" does not break down specific paths such as "optimizing the first experience","establishing a user reach mechanism" and "improving the feedback closed loop".
Reason 3: Key stuck points have not been resolved
This is the most common situation-the team actually knows what to do, but a key part of the execution process gets stuck. For example,"sales leads are not followed up in a timely manner" leads to low conversion rates,"unstable development environment" leads to low testing efficiency, and "unclear cross-department collaboration processes" lead to delays in information transfer. If these sticking points are not identified and resolved, KPIs will always be delayed.
Reason 4: Execution deviations are ignored
After the plan was implemented for a period of time, deviations occurred between the actual actions and the original goal, but they were not discovered and corrected in time. "Things get out of shape while doing it" is an important reason why many KPIs are not completed.
