Outline/Content
Day 1: Memory Monday
Kick off the week by inviting each class to contribute to a “Memory Wall.” Students can write short reflections, draw comic strips, or submit photos with captions capturing a memorable or meaningful moment shared with a teacher. These can be displayed in the school hallway or compiled into a digital presentation to be shared at the end of the week.
Day 2: Token Tuesday
Each class creates a small, personalized gift for their teachers. Ideas include handmade bookmarks, thank-you cards, or paper flowers decorated with kind words. Teachers may also receive small, thoughtful surprises coordinated by the PTA or school administration, such as snacks, drinks, or a communal appreciation board filled with notes from different grades.
Day 3: Words of Wisdom Wednesday
A school-wide display will feature quotes, advice, or words of encouragement remembered from teachers. Each student writes down one meaningful phrase or insight a teacher has shared, showing how these lessons go beyond the classroom. The quotes can be added to a decorative bulletin board or incorporated into a video compilation shown during lunch or morning announcements.
Day 4: Thank-You Thursday
A special assembly, either in-person or virtual, will highlight student performances, short speeches, or group thank-you messages. Classes may prepare poems, songs, or short plays to honor their teachers. Families and local community members can be invited to participate or send in thank-you letters and video messages to show collective support and admiration for the teaching staff.
Day 5: Future Friday
Students write open letters to a “future teacher” or to their “future selves” as future teachers, describing the qualities they admire in the teachers they know now. These letters can reflect how today’s teachers have influenced students’ values, career dreams, or outlooks on learning. Selected letters can be shared on the school website or posted outside classrooms.
